Teaching, learning, and sharing a musical language
a whole language approach to music Learning any language takes time, a safe atmosphere, and happens more readily when the learners have ample opportunity for practice in all areas of the language. That is why musiConnects students are given weekly opportunities to not only hone their instrumental technique but also to develop and make meaningful connections between reading, composition, improvisation, and listening.

social dynamics and authentic musical communication
Just as in learning a second language, learning music requires regular engagement in a wide variety of settings. That is why we offer our students weekly experiences in three distinct social dynamics in music: one-on-one lessons, chamber music groups, and large group "music circle".
